Who We Are
We are parents committed to a city that exemplifies the values and vibrant culture we want our children to grow up in. We represent San Francisco families making it work against the odds. Quality affordable childcare is integral to our lives. We are activists for our children and community seeking collaborative and innovative solutions to preserve Children’s Village Child Development Center, which is in jeopardy of losing its campus.
Children’s Village Child Development Center provides a safe, engaging environment for our children. Moreover, Children’s Village is a hub that connects 102 families who reflect the full range of cultural, ethnic, linguistic, socio-economic, geographic and family-composition. Our unique community celebrates differences while underscoring the basic humanity we all share. (Click here to learn more about The Village)
The crisis of accessible childcare for working families in San Francisco is compelling on its own and we know what we stand to loose if Children’s Village disappears: A special place that expresses the best part of everyone who participates. ( Click here to learn more about how to help)
Children’s Village
Children’s Village Child Development Center provides a year round arts enriched day program for children ages 3 months to 5 years. Our sunny, state-of-the-art Facility in the SOMA section of San Francisco consists of 7 classrooms, 3 play yards, and ample outdoor gardens. With help from the Low Income Investment Fund, Miriam and Peter Haas Foundation, and the Mayor’s Office of Community Development, Children’s Village is able to offer a beautiful environment with a wealth of materials.
